We have spent two days in Portsmouth being put through the familiar round of gruelling tests before we go. This took the best part of Wednesday and Thursday (31st and 1st). I returned to Royston for a last evening meal with my children. I finished the final packing, which has provided me with a huge load of gear to manage for tomorrow’s journey to a last gathering in Hampshire.
