Everything was unpacked and carefully checked before
repacking. Nothing missing to our relief and although
it all weighs rather a lot it seems that we are all
set to go tomorrow, Saturday 3rd of November.
It seems very probable that I will not be able to update this blog while I am away, so to follow all the developments go to:
www.fuchsfoundation.org
and use the expedition tracker to follow our every move!

We have spent two days in Portsmouth being put
through the familiar round of gruelling tests before

already; there is a film on Youtube that was made
when we did our "practice" in June. It gives the
flavour of what we were put through:
Portsmouth testing
I returned to Royston for a last evening meal with my children. I finished the final packing, which has provided me with a huge load of gear to manage for tomorrow’s journey to a last gathering in Hampshire.
